January 16 (Tuesday) AT (Hightop Hut) - Shenandoah NP ( B/3)Jenni Pendergrass (jennipendergrass55@gmail.com or 804-221-3226). Out and back 9 mile hike on the AT (mostly) from Swift Run Gap to Smith Roach Gap. This section includes the highest point of the AT in the southern section of SNP. At Smith Roach Gap we'll use a fire road to return to Hightop Hut for lunch before returning along the AT to Swift Run Gap. Call or email for meeting place and time.
