Oct 8 (THURS) Torry Ridge C-2 HIKE IS AT CAPACITY NO MORE HIKERS ACCEPTED

Leaves are starting to turn and the weather is getting cooler. Hike 8 miles along mountain crests, through Sherando Lake Campground, lunch overlooking lake and back up a gentle slope to carpark. Bring water and lunch. Covid protocols in effect: no carpooling, social distancing, no recent covid symptoms or contact and limited group availability. Contact Jack in order to have sign-in sheet prepared and ready for signature ( bring own pen for signing ) and get information for meet-up location.

The construction and maintenance of foot trails for hikers, including the Appalachian Trail between Reids Gap and Rockfish Gap.

The provision of excursions on such trails or other areas.

Offering educational activities related to the need for preserving the great outdoors.
