A series of six brisk early morning hikes along various routes on the James River Park System beginning March 19.
We attempt to walk six miles over a two hour period. Each week is a different route.
Dates: March 19, March 26, April 2, 9, 16 and 23.
Hikes begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 10:00 a.m.
Meeting place: Flood Wall parking lot located at the point where Semmes Ave. (Rt. 60) ends - just after the intersection of Semmes and Commerce Rd. Parking lot on left.
The ODATC Mission
The construction and maintenance of foot trails for hikers, including the Appalachian Trail between Reids Gap and Rockfish Gap.
The provision of excursions on such trails or other areas.
Offering educational activities related to the need for preserving the great outdoors.
