Tuscarora Massanutten Loop at Elizabeth Furnance (A/3)

Mark Wenger (Animal) ( 757-253-0056 (H) or markwenger@cox.net) We'll leave from Williamsburg at 5:00 pm Friday and pick up anyone in Richmond at the Walmart parking lot off I-95 in Ashland (Exit 92) on the way. We'll eat a quick supper on the road and drive north on I-95 to 17; then north to I-66 west to Exit 6; take 522 south to 55; west to 678 south to Elizabeth Furnance and camp.  On Saturday we'll hike the Tuscarora west till we intersect with the Masanutten Trail for the seconf time.  We'll take the MassanuttenTrail north to the reservoir and camp abovethe reservoir. This is about 11 miles.  On Sunday we'll hike noth/east on th Massanutten Trail back to the cars; about 5 miles. Get toexperience two intersting trails that do not get the attention they deserve.
