Art Ritter (o2behiking@yahoo.com) There is an absolute six person limit for this trip - and six have signed up. so the trip is full. 9/13 and 9/22 are travel days to and from Houghton, Michigan on the Upper Peninsula – travel scheduling and costs are up to each person. 9/14– 9/21 we will be traveling to this large island park in Lake Superior, backpacking, and getting back to Houghton Expect to backpack 9 – 11 miles per day between campsites (seven nights on the trail), with time to relax, fish, and do nature study. We’ll ride the ferry over to and from Copper Harbor, landing and leaving from Rock Harbor on IRNP. I am reserving and prepaying for a shuttle to and from the airport to Copper Harbor, and we are reserving shared lodging for the nights of 9/13 and 9/21 in Copper Harbor. NOTE: currently, I have six who have expressed interest but can keep a wait list if you are interested. This is the least visited national park in the lower 48 and should be on your bucket list if it isn't already!
