A moderate 7.7 mile loop hike with 1200 feet elevation change in Shenandoah National Park. Starting from the parking area at Milam Gap, head south on the AT 2.8 miles then descend with some great mountain vistas on the Laurel Prong Trail 3.2 miles to the famous Hoover Camp. Return by the Mill Prong Trail and the AT 1.7 miles. Bring a lunch to eat on the deck of Hoover's cabin. Contact Bill for meeting time and place.
